Introduction to Social Dance I
This class is for the beginner with "two left feet"
or no formal dance instruction. It begins with the Slow Dance, the
very basic exercise of walking to music and becoming aware of how
to use your feet and stand properly. Taking this class may begin the
start of many years of lots of fun in dancing. We will work on the
basic patterns in Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Rumba, Cha Cha, and Swing,
concentrating on essential elements to strengthen your ability to
dance with various partners which is great for building confidence.

This class is a continuation of the previous 12-week course.
We will continue to work on Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Rumba, Cha Cha,
and Swing, concentrating on essential elements to strengthen your
ability to dance with various partners, which is great for building
confidence. |

Rhythm
I
Come learn the hottest dances on the dance
floor! Latin dancing is very popular and you will be too if you can
master a few moves in the Salsa, Rumba, Cha Cha and Merengue. We feature
these dances at our Latin Dance once a month. Don’t be shy—this
one is designed with beginners in mind to be lots of fun!!!

Bronze I
This class is a continuation of the previous 12-week course.
We will continue to work on the DVIDA Syllabus in the dances; Waltz,
Foxtrot, Tango, Rumba, Cha Cha, and Swing, concentrating on essential
elements to strengthen your ability to dance with various partners
which is great for building confidence. Start learning dance routines
to begin flowing around the dance floor. By this time you should be
comfortable enough to ask someone you don’t know to dance.

Bronze II
This class will continue to expand on the Basics in the
DVIDA Syllabus in all six major dances. By this time you should
be dancing with others somewhat comfortably in Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango,
Rumba, Cha Cha and Swing. You will be learning the Open Break in
Rumba, Tuck-Turns in East Coast Swing, & a Two-Way Underarm
Turn in Waltz to name a couple. Now is the time to concentrate on
essential elements to strengthen your confidence and get a better
grasp on the basic techniques like posture, timing and footwork.

This class is working on an intermediate
level of Bronze and has been studying for 4 semesters. The DVIDA
Syllabus is what you have & will continue working with. You
will be learning Natural & Reverse Turns in Tango & Waltz,
the Cradle in East Coast Swing, & Open Rumba Walks in Rumba
to name a few. The six major dances are still the subjects of this
class.

This class has been developed to give ample time to finish Bronze
III & start Bronze IV patterns & styling technique.

IV
Working on a Full Bronze level, from the DVIDA Syllabus,
you will be learning the promenade twist, progressive twinkles forward
and back, and Forward and Back Spot Turns to name a few of the approved
DVIDA Syllabus patterns.

Bronze IV/ Silver I
This class is working a beginning Silver or continuity
style dance as well as finishing some Bronze IV patterns. You will
be learning Open Left & Right turns in Waltz, Open Swivels Walks
in Rumba, & Wrist Spin & Alternating Turn in East Coast
Swing & more if time allows. We will be concentrating on the
approved DVIDA syllabus. Most of these students have been studying
in group and private lessons. |

Silver I Social Dance
This class will be working on various dances chosen by
the students and the instructor. Most of the students in this class
have been taking classes for at least 2 years and have an understanding
of proper footwork and posture to maneuver around the floor comfortably
with various partners. |

II Social Dance
This class will be working on advanced steps in various
dances chosen by the students and the instructor. Most of the students
in this class have been studying in group and private lessons for
over 5 years. |

This class will be working on advanced steps in various
dances chosen by the students and the instructor. Most of the students
in this class have been studying in group and private lessons for
over 6 years. |

Beginning
Salsa I
This class is for the person who would like to be popular
at the dance club or the next social event. It begins with the basic
Salsa movements such as Cross-Body Leads & Underarm Turns. By
the end of class you will walk out confident in your moves &
with hearing the beat in the music.

Salsa II
In this class you will continue to add new variations to
Salsa music & you will progress through some of the Hottest
moves. You will become more confident in hearing the music &
executing sharp moves. Enjoy your dancing experience with everyone. |

Beginner West Coast Swing I
West Coast Swing is one of fastest growing social dances with it’s
creativity, musicality, & connection. You will learn the fundamental
elements in the basics. West Coast Swing can be danced to a wide
range of music from blues to hip hop. It is the sexist swing dance,
giving time for lots of expression. Enjoy the process of learning
to different music & learning a new dance.

Intermediate West Coast Swing I
Continue learning about musicality, connection, & the fundamental
basics. You will learn in depth about footwork, putting different
basics together to develop more advanced patterns & sensuality.
